GPs are often the first person women disclose their experiences of domestic, family and sexual violence to. In this 2026 update, Women’s Health NSW and guest speaker Dr Wei-May Su, Chair of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners (RACGP) specific interests group, Abuse and Violence in Families and practicing GP, use case studies and practice-based examples to emphasise the important role healthcare providers play in responding to strangulation, sexual choking and brain injury.
This webinar will be useful to GPs, healthcare providers and other service providers working with women to identify, screen for, and address the short- and long-term needs of women who experience strangulation and/or brain injury.
