This pocket-sized, foldout brochure came about when Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre identified a need for a resource for women who had experienced strangulation that was safe for them to carry.
Under the title Head and Neck Health, this brochure supports women to recognise which symptoms of strangulation mean an emergency department visit is necessary, and which symptoms mean they can wait to discuss them with their GP.
The brochure was made by Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre in December 2025 with support from Women’s Health NSW and Sydney Local Health District.
It is designed as a fold-out z-card rather than a digital resource, so we have included a print-ready PDF that you can download.
